We’re thrilled to share that our very own student, Dalila Alvarez, has been selected as the winner of the Fellsmere City Flag Contest!
City Manager Mr. Armando Martinez visited FES to introduce the contest and explain how flags represent the identity and pride of countries, states, and cities. Until now, Fellsmere didn’t have its own flag!
Under the guidance of our Art Teacher, Ms. Straz, our 4th and 5th graders designed digital flags using Canva while learning about symbolism and flag designs from around the world. Their creativity and effort shone through, and Dalila’s design was chosen to represent the beautiful Community of Fellsmere.
We couldn’t be prouder of Dalila and all our talented students! 💙
A heartfelt thank you to the District members, City Hall Council, FES teachers, families, and students for supporting and celebrating this special moment together.
Fellsmere Elementary is truly making history!
