During Art with Ms. Strazinski, Fellsmere 3rd graders used their imagination to go on a “Field Trip” to the Art Museum. We quietly adventured into the hallway to observe paintings by Vincent Van Gogh. They had about 10 minutes to quietly sketch their own drawings inspired by his paintings. It was really fun for the 3rd graders to pretend they were at the Art Museum and discuss the colors, landscapes, and distinct style of the famous Vincent Van Gogh!

Tomorrow, Tuesday September 30th students may bring in $1.00 to wear their favorite jersey in support of @FellsmerePTA.

Fellsmere is excited to share about two of our Mustangs who are doing great things in their classrooms and school. Way to go Jennifer and Danny! Keep up the great work Mustangs!

Its almost that time of year again! The students have just finished their Delicious Dessert Drawings for our annual Art To Remember Fundraiser. Later this month Ms. Straz will be providing the official website and additional information to participate in the Art To Remember Fundraiser! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Thank you to Kerri Wall for coming to help our parents set up the SDIRC app and Gigis Rasapdas for helping feed our families at Open House. It was great to see all the families come out!

In Honor of September 11th, we read “This Very Tree” by Sean Rubin in the Library. First grade classes chose words to describe the survivor tree and illustrated their own tree. So proud of what our Mustangs created!

This may look like junk, but Ms. Straz sees an endless supply of creativity! She wants to thank all the families that have donated supplies for the art room!
Something as simple as a toilet paper roll serves a purpose in the hands of our imaginative students! This isn’t even half of everything that has been donated, FES is so fortunate to have such supportive families! We can’t wait to see what Ms. Straz creates with her students!
Keep an eye out for her upcoming Art Fundraiser, information for that will be announced soon!

Remembering September 11, 2001
Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the courage of first responders, and the resilience of a nation forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.
In schools across our District, we take time to honor the significance of this day, ensuring our students understand the importance of unity, service, and compassion in the face of tragedy. As we reflect, we are reminded of the strength found in community and the enduring impact of coming together in support of one another.
We will never forget.
